One World One Homeevening party organized by School of International Education
On the evening of May 6, 2009, One World One Home Sino-foreign cultural exchange evening party concluded with a complete success at the Students Activity Center at Jiangning Campus. The party was organized by School of International Education, International Cooperation & Exchange Office, Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs. University CPC Secretary Dr. Guojun Chen, President Dr. Qi Chen, Vice-Presidents Dr. Yaochu Xu, Dr. Xinru Wang, Dr. Changqing Wang, and Minister of university CPC Standing Committee Dr. Mingxiang Leng attended the evening party. Attendees also include leadership from other schools and departments, and doctors from our affiliated hospitals.
The party started with an Indian dancing mystery which was full of passion and dynamic and conveyed us the mystery of The Old India. The chorus This world is your home, presented by our foreign experts was a perfect interpretation of the name of the party. The Chinese traditional music instrument show Spring River and Flowers in the Moonlight presented by the Chinese students introduced us the essence of Chinese culture. Other performances, such as the drama Our Day and Indonesian dancing brought all the audience to a world of art. They each presented the theme One world one home and we are a whole family very well. The party ended with a chorus of Friends by our students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
The party not only provides us an opportunity of multi-cultural exchange but also bridges the friendship of nations and gives us an opportunity to experience the world of art.
