Youth Health Education Seminar for international students organized by NMU Labor Union and School of International Education was held in D209 Xue Hai Building, Jiangning Campus on Oct. 21. Associate Prof. Pei Tao, full-time consultant from the Mental Health Education Consulting Center of Nanjing Normal University, Director of the Social Development Department of the Health Education Research Center of Xianlin University Town, gave the lecture. Ms. Jiang Hailan, Vice Dean of SIE and teachers of Student Affairs Office and around 50 international students attended the seminar.
The topic of this seminar is: Stress Management under the Epidemic. Prof. Pei first analyzed the physical and psychological changes in students' study and life under the prevention and control of the epidemic. Then, it systematically explained the three aspects of What is stress, Why stress matters, and How to cope with it. Prof. Pei pointed out that it is necessary to adjust its own psychological quality; to relax yourself, to maintain moderate exercise, and to vent emotions reasonably; at the same time to learn to adjust the state of life and study, and establish a good work and rest schedule.
This seminar helped international students better understand psychological knowledge, improve their psychological quality, learn how to release stress, and improve their mental health.
