On the evening of June 1, NMU held the Sing Red Classics, Ode to a Hundred Years of Glory chorus competition to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The team of teachers and students of SIE sang the song I Love You, China which won the third prize.
The song I Love You, China is clear and magnificent. An interview video of NMU's anti-epidemic heroes, Vice President Lu Xiang and Head Nurse Tao Lianshan, brought the audience’s thoughts back to the scene of the outbreak of the epidemic in 2020, the suspension of life, and the nation’s efforts to support Wuhan City. Afterwards, accompanied by a melodious and lyrical melody, SIE students sang the song affectionately with teachers in fluent Chinese. The emotion was sincere and won rounds of applause at the scene.
This chorus competition is one of our university's series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of CPC, which attracts 15 teams to participate in it. In the preparation stage of the competition, SIE students responded positively, signed up enthusiastically, overcame language difficulties, and took part in rehearsals earnestly. SIE students sang the song I Love You, China to express their determination to study diligently in this hot land of China to repay their second hometown and express their gratitude and blessings to China and NMU.
