On July 3, the 2021 Commencement and Degree Awarding Ceremony of Nanjing Medical University was solemnly held in the gymnasium of Jiangning campus. 39 international students attended the ceremony and were awarded degrees. All parents of international graduates and 12 overseas graduates watched the graduation ceremony online and celebrated this important moment with 3752 graduates of Nanjing Medical University.
TEWODROSS GETU WOLDE,a master student majoring in Surgery from Batch 2018 spoke on the ceremony on behalf of all the international graduates. In his speech, he said that medicine requires lifelong learning, and as young graduates, we have just begun to climb the peak of medicine. The time staying at Nanjing Medical University has been found rich and colorful. We have not only gained knowledge, but also overcome our own doubts and fears. It is a great honor to be a student of Nanjing Medical University. Over the past nine years, Nanjing has been my second home and will always hold a special place in my heart, he said.
ANITA NYARKOA WALKER, a master student majoring in Public Health from Batch 2019 , and JAMES AGYEI, an undergraduate student majoring in clinical medicine (English-medium) from Batch 2015, presented flowers as representatives of international graduates. Professor Wang Changqing, Party Secretary of CPC Committee of NMU, and academician Shen Hongbing, President of NMU, presented graduation certificates to all graduates.
In the part of degree awarding, 27 graduates of international students in China came to the stage in turn in their gowns, and the leadership of the Standing Committee of the Party committee of the University turn the tassels for them and awarded them degrees. The graduation ceremony ended in a solemn and warm atmosphere.
